Hello!  My name is Gordon and I have been designing, building and flying radio control model airplanes since 1972.  I started this WordPress website in July 2013.

Join me on this website and blog as I discuss various aspects of electric model airplane plans, building and flying techniques.  My focus is on smaller electric powered models with an occasional excursion to the larger variants.

I will show you how to draw construction plans, use computer aided design programs and convert free flight kits to RC flight.

I have had six radio control model aircraft designs published.  The latest one was the Fokker Spin in the January 2014 Quiet and Electric Flight International magazine.

I had the opportunity to serve on active duty with the U.S. Air Force for 27 years. During this time I flew in the F-4 Phantom fighter jet and various special mission aircraft, in addition to having several staff tours at the Pentagon and other USAF agencies.

I obtained my FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate in 1992 and enjoyed being a Flight Instructor for four years.

I am also happy to report that I recently got hired to fly for Southern Air!  I completed B-777F training in May 2017.  Southern Air crews fly the B-777F for DHL and our routes typically take us around the world 3-4 times a month.  Learning a lot!

If you have any questions on the plans offered on this website or RC model airplane design in general do not hesitate to send me a note.

The format of this site, to include the Blog, is exciting and certainly worth the effort. WordPress is without a doubt the best way to set up a personal website. I recommend it to anyone.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check my blog for the most recent changes and updates to the site!

All the best,
