While ready and almost ready to fly radio control aircraft are extremely popular these days, a few of us modelers still enjoy designing and building our own RC flyers.

For those builders still out there one of the fundamental requirements is a proper set of building tools. While some modelers magage to produce well built aircraft with little more than an X-acto knife, glue and some sandpaper, the majority of our building tasks benefit greatly from the right tool used at the right time.

In the following pages I will discuss some of the more useful tools I have come across as I build my various model aircraft. These tools are a small investment considering that many of them will last a lifetime and permit one to complete the task at hand correctly, quickly and easily.

As the old adage goes, “Measure twice and cut once.” The same approach can be used towards purchasing and employing the right tool. See links below and enjoy!
